Russian President Vladimir Putin had a conversation with Prime Minister of Luxembourg Xavier Bettel, during which the situation in Ukraine and Donbass was discussed. This was reported in the Kremlin.
The telephone conversation with Luxembourg took place for the second time in the past week.
“At the initiative of the Luxembourg side, President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation with Prime Minister of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg Xavier Bettel. In continuation of the previous conversation, the situation in Ukraine and Donbass was discussed in connection with the conduct of a special military operation by Russia,” the press service noted.
It is noted that the President of the Russian Federation drew attention to the incessant missile attacks of Kyiv on Donetsk and other cities of the Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics (DNR and LNR), and spoke about the numerous casualties among the civilian population.
In turn, Bettel informed the Russian side about his contacts with the leaders of Ukraine and a number of other states. “Vladimir Putin outlined his fundamental assessments of the course of negotiations between Russian and Ukrainian representatives,” the Kremlin’s press service noted.
Before that, the conversation between Vladimir Putin and Xavier Bettel took place on March 14. At the request of the Prime Minister of Luxembourg, the President of Russia informed him about the progress of the operation in Donbass and explained to his foreign colleague the need for it. The politicians agreed to continue further interaction between the states.
