The Supreme Court of Singapore has ruled to stop the sale and purchase of non-fungible Bored Ape NFT (BAYC) tokens in connection with a lending case. In response to the court decision, the largest digital art trading platform, OpenSea, has disabled the possibility of commercial transactions for BAYC.
On the exchange’s website, the BAYC ticker is marked with a message of “suspicious activity”. Both offers to sell and orders to buy turned out to be disabled.
An OpenSea spokesperson commented on the blocking of bidding as follows:
“Our site does not claim that enforcement actions have been taken against individual collections. However, our project policy does not allow commercial transactions with items obtained by fraud or subject to legal proceedings.
