The American IT company Microsoft suspends the sale of goods and the provision of services in Russia. On Friday, March 4, the press service of the company reports.
“Today we announce that we are suspending all new sales of our products and Microsoft services in Russia. In addition, we are closely coordinating and working in conjunction with the US, EU and UK governments, and therefore we are stopping many aspects of our business in Russia in accordance with the sanctions decisions of these governments, ”the statement says.
The company added that they consider the most effective way to help Ukraine in the current situation “those specific steps that are taken in coordination with the governments” of Western countries.
Earlier that day, the American company Intel suspended deliveries of products to its customers in Russia and Belarus due to the situation in Ukraine. Intel also launched a fundraising campaign to support its employees and their families in and around Ukraine. Over $1.2 million has already been raised.
On March 3, Google decided to suspend the Google Ads contextual advertising service on its platforms in the Russian Federation amid the military operation in Ukraine.
